Log Book 17 November 2024

Dear Members of the Air League of Monaco,

we are delighted to share with you the photos from the very successful event on the 8th of November with Ms. Judy Leden, renowned for her achievements in hot air ballooning, including making history as the first woman to soar across the English channel reaching an altitude of 13,000 feet.

Her presentation was truly inspiring, offering a glimpse into the world of aviation and her personal journey.

We also remind you about one upcoming dinner that will take place in the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation in Monaco as follows:

Tuesday 26 November 2024, 630pm drinks, 7pm dinner, 8pm speeches with guest speakers Joris Wolters and Mike Van de Broek from PAL-V who are currently working on the first ever flying car: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRRnXq41UV4&t=1s

Joris Wolters joined PAL-V in 2016 as one of the first commercial employees of the company. He has since built and led the marketing and sales team, orchestrating numerous global marketing campaigns with viral press announcements. Besides his commercial duties, Joris manages the PAL-V FlyDrive Academy, where he oversees the training of students to become flying car pilots.

Mike van den Broek became the COO of PAL-V in 2021, following a series of management roles at GKN Fokker, a prominent global aviation company. At GKN Fokker, he contributed to projects involving a range of aircraft, including models from Boeing and Airbus, and played an early role in the F-35 program. At PAL-V, Mike oversees the operations and design teams, ensuring the Liberty platform achieves certification and the company is prepared for scaling.
