The Hellenic Community of Monaco will be hosting an event at the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation Terrace in Monaco on Wednesday 19 June 2024 at 7pm. Please find further details in the invitation below:

Friday 21 June 2024, 6.30pm dinner and speech by Captain Rachel Burns. Rachel, a female British Airways Captain, who flies Boeing 777-300 from Heathrow and mother of 2 living in Valbonne, France, will give a speech titled “From life on the French Riviera to a life in the Azur skies above with Captain Rachel Burns”. Joris Wolters joined PAL-V in 2016 as one of the first commercial employees of the company. He has since built and led the marketing and sales team, orchestrating numerous global marketing campaigns with viral press announcements. Besides his commercial duties, Joris manages the PAL-V FlyDrive Academy, where he oversees the training of students to become flying car pilots.

Mike van den Broek became the COO of PAL-V in 2021, following a series of management roles at GKN Fokker, a prominent global aviation company. At GKN Fokker, he contributed to projects involving a range of aircraft, including models from Boeing and Airbus, and played an early role in the F-35 program. At PAL-V, Mike oversees the operations and design teams, ensuring the Liberty platform achieves certification and the company is prepared for scaling.

Friday 8 November 2024, 6pm dinner with guest speaker Judy Leden, a British hang glider and paraglider. “In 1989 Leden became the first woman to fly over the English Channel by hang glider following a launch from a hot air balloon at 13,000 feet.”

Reminder to those who have not yet paid: the fee for 2024 is now overdue. The annual fees remain unchanged at 150euro per adult and 50euro for a junior member (born 2005 or later). Members are encouraged to pay by bank transfer to the IBAN below always stating clearly in the payment reference the full first and last name of the member.
