An afternoon very well spent on 9 April, at the Bombardier Lounge of the Yacht Club de Monaco, discussing private aviation with one of the leading companies in the industry.
The Air League of Monaco hosted a conversation between Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder of easyJet and President of the Air League of Monaco, and Brian Jones, Sales Director for UK & Northern Europe at Bombardier —two perspectives that greatly complemented each other.
Sir Stelios brought a unique angle: that of a commercial aviation pioneer who also uses private aviation. His reflections highlighted that commercial and private aviation are not competing models, but complementary tools, each serving different needs.
Brian Jones provided valuable insight from the private aviation side, sharing how clients approach private flying as a strategic decision. He noted that first-time users are often surprised by the level of efficiency, time savings, and seamless experience private aviation can offer.
A big thank you to Guerric Ranchon, our Air League of Monaco member, for his excellent moderation, and to our engaged audience for the depth and quality of the questions during the Q&A.
